I’ve just spent two weeks developing a not-for-profit website for students studying poetry. It’s called the The Poetry Resource and I’m proud of it. It’s my first attempt setting up a Content Management System (CMS) and so far, so good….

Feel free to suggest a favourite poet.

Seriously – when was the last time? For most people it may seem poetry has become irrelevant. At least until you actually make the effort to read some again.

If you’ve never read much poetry and you’re a bit of a cynic, then try reading someone like Philip Larkin (try Aubade, Ambulances, Dockery and Son). You’ll be glad you did, but you won’t be uplifted…..
