Linux Second Life Client goes beta

Linden Lab have announced the availability of a beta-version of its client for Linux users.

There’s a dedicated bunch of Australian Linux users in Second Life and it’d be a fair guess they’re a little excited by this announcement. If you’re a Linux user, post a comment on your experiences with the beta. Good luck!

Australian Second Lifers at 2008 Linux Conference

Over on the blog devoted to Australian users of Second Life on the Linux platform, they’ve mentioned that this week there’s Australia’s annual Linux conference.

A swathe of Australian Second Life residents will be there, so if Linux and many hours of technical discussions are your thing, a quick trip to Melbourne may be in order.
